Wilson AAM
For outstanding achievement during combat operations in support of the assault on the Port of Mussalo. Private First Class J. Wilson demonstrated exceptional initiative and bravery by swiftly engaging and destroying an enemy main battle tank using his M47 Dragon anti-tank weapon. With friendly elements pinned down by hostile armor, PFC Wilson maneuvered into a covered position, calmly acquired a firing solution, and scored a direct hit, neutralizing the threat. His decisive action enabled the company to regain momentum and continue the assault on the port. PFC Wilson’s courage, technical skill, and effectiveness under fire reflect great credit upon himself, Alpha Company, the 2nd Battalion, 15th Infantry Regiment, and the United States Army. |
